Securing a New Zealand General Visitor Visa becomes especially challenging when health issues are involved, particularly for offshore applicants where any missing information can result in immediate decline without appeal options. Our team recently succeeded in such a case, helping a client obtain a visa for his father, whose application had faced multiple declines due to a medical condition. Facing INZ’s strict Acceptable Standard of Health (ASH) requirements, the client sought our expertise. Our strategy centred on obtaining a medical waiver to demonstrate that his visit wouldn’t excessively burden New Zealand’s healthcare system. Given the offshore nature of the application, where insufficient documentation or clarification requests could lead to another decline, our team worked with utmost precision to ensure a strong, complete submission. This was true for a recent client, repeatedly denied a Resident Visa by INZ due to health standards. His wife, from the Philippines, reached out to our firm for assistance in reuniting her family. Having worked in New Zealand for years, the client was growing discouraged by the visa rejections, longing to be with his wife and two daughters. After a consultation with Simon, our CEO, a personalised strategy was put into motion. Simon provided a letter of engagement, which the client shared with his supportive employer. Once engaged, Simon gathered the necessary medical documents and family records from the Philippines. After months of waiting, their prayers were finally answered as their Resident Visa was approved last week. The family is now joyfully preparing to move to New Zealand. Note: Since the onset of COVID-19, we have transitioned to a fully remote model. This no face-to-face policy has streamlined our processes, allowing us to serve clients efficiently and cost-effectively through our advanced IT systems.      In 2021, a client from Indonesia reached out to us for assistance with his family’s Resident Visa application. His wife’s medical condition posed a risk to the application, as Immigration New Zealand (INZ) requires applicants to meet the Acceptable Standard of Health. If his wife’s visa were declined, it would mean rejection for both the client and their son as well. They included a Medical Waiver for the wife, anticipating a smoother process. After several months, INZ approved the Medical Waiver, and the entire family was granted their Resident Visa, much to their relief. Note: The Covid-19 pandemic led us to adopt a fully remote model, allowing us to save clients time and cost while providing efficient, high-quality service remotely. This approach continues today, supporting our clients effectively without face-to-face meetings.     |
