This client initially approached our firm during the first Covid-19 lockdown. Because of the restrictions and lack of information on the rules and regulations, she became unlawful. To make matters more complicated, she was also carrying an expired visa. She was pregnant then and about to have a baby soon.
No midwife or healthcare assistant would help the client with her pregnancy as she did not have a valid visa. Simon even had to write a personal letter to convince the midwife to take care of her while he was preparing and submitting her Section 61 to help her become lawful again.
He also had to request the client's respective embassy to renew her expired passport. She got her passport renewed in a few days during the lockdown.
Fortunately, the request was successful. She got her visa approved and was able to deliver a healthy baby in a hospital in NZ. Click here to check her previous successful visa case.
Following the Section 61 approval, we also worked with her on the next step: applying for her partnership-based work visa. It was approved without any issues.
Simon had been working with this family for years, helping them navigate the process of moving to New Zealand. He had grown fond of them, and he was so excited to see the final outcome of their hard work. He is proud to have played a role in helping them start their new life and realize their dreams of building their future in NZ.
