The Employer Accreditation step of the new Accredited Employer Work Visa system

INZ announced immigration instructions that affect the employer accreditation step of the new Accredited Employer Work Visa system.

  • The Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) is a new temporary work visa opening to applications on 4 July 2022. 
  • There are 3 steps to hiring a migrant on an AEWV. These are accreditation, the job check, and the AEWV application.
  • Employers can apply for accreditation from 23 May 2022 and for a job check from 20 June 2022. 
  • The Essential Skills Work Visa will close to applications on 3 July 2022. 

These instructions are effective 23 May 2022, at which point employers will be able to apply online to become accredited.
