I think immigration plays a key part in New Zealand's social, economic and cultural growth. It is important that we attract the right kind of people into our country who will contribute positively to the growth of of our country in all the three areas mentioned above. There should be a good balance of ethnicities and talent and we need to identify and attract them to our country at the same time, help retain them for our country's prosperity.
Immigration trust is in the business of attracting new migrants from diverse ethnicity, talent and skill set. I have been involved in attracting international students for various institutions for several years in the past and have a keen interest in this area of good migration. Hence, I believe with my experience, knowledge and background I would be a good advisory panel member of Immigration trust.
