A client approached us after her previous immigration adviser declined to continue handling her case. Her resident visa application was on the verge of being declined when Simon, our CEO, stepped in.
The case officer had nearly finalised the decision before forwarding it to a technical adviser. Simon promptly requested the officer’s assessment notes and secured an extension to review the case. Despite submitting a compelling letter with a strong argument, the application was declined. Simon identified flaws in the decision and recommended a Resident Visa Appeal to the Immigration and Protection Tribunal (IPT), which had to be filed within 42 days. He meticulously prepared the appeal, which was submitted on time. After nearly six months, the Tribunal ruled that the original decision was flawed. The case was sent back to Immigration New Zealand for reassessment by a different officer. This success highlights that clear and effective communication can deliver exceptional results, even without face-to-face interaction.
