In early 2020, a couple consulted Simon for a complex immigration case. The client faced a deportation order and was required to report to the compliance team weekly.
Simon outlined the process, emphasising there were no shortcuts and multiple steps were necessary to resolve her situation. First, he delayed the deportation order and lodged a successful Section 61 application, securing her a visitor visa. Next, he prepared her partnership-based work visa application, which overcame several PPI (Potentially Prejudicial Information) challenges, resulting in a two-year work visa approval. The final step was her resident visa application. Despite additional PPIs and the need for a character waiver, her residency was approved yesterday. After two years of dedication, the client now has a new future in New Zealand with her partner and a stable job.
