Successful Resident Visa Case 33

A couple approached Simon, our CEO, after the husband grew concerned that his previous immigration adviser had given inaccurate guidance on his Skilled Migrant Category (SMC) resident visa application. The adviser recommended an incorrect ANZSCO code for his role, and when he changed jobs, he was told a new work visa was unnecessary.

The husband scheduled a paid consultation with Simon. During the consultation, Simon identified that the ANZSCO code used in the SMC resident visa application was incorrect and confirmed that the client did indeed need a new work visa for his new position. Simon advised the client to withdraw the Expression of Interest (EOI) submitted under the wrong ANZSCO code and apply for the required work visa. This work visa was approved, setting him on the right path.
