This client first approached us during the initial Covid-19 lockdown, struggling with an expired visa and unlawful status due to pandemic restrictions. She was also pregnant and unable to secure midwife support because of her visa status. Simon personally intervened, writing to a midwife to secure her care while preparing a Section 61 request for her to regain lawful status.
During lockdown, Simon also helped expedite her passport renewal through her embassy. The Section 61 was successfully approved, allowing her to deliver her baby in a New Zealand hospital. Following this success, we guided her through a partnership-based work visa application, which was promptly approved. Later, her husband reached out for assistance with the 2021 resident visa. Simon prepared and submitted the application, which was ultimately approved after extensive communication with INZ, granting the entire family residency in New Zealand. After years of working closely with this family, Simon was thrilled to see them secure their future in New Zealand, proud to have supported their journey every step of the way.
