Declined Partnership based Work Visa due to a character issue, unlawful, Successful Section 61 and Successful Partnership based Work Visa

After her Partnership-based Work Visa was declined, a client came to us due to her Supporting New Zealand Partner's character issue (police involved). Since she was on the interim visa, she became unlawful.  

Simon worked with her to prepare her Section 61 request, which was successful.  She was granted 6 months Visitor Visa. 

You should expect challenges (PPI letters) from your case officer even after your section 61 was successful as subsequent visa application's case officer will perform their due diligence.  Therefore, the couple was guided on re-establishing her partner's credibility and prepared the character waiver. 

It was like a table tennis game as there were multiple PPI letters and responses between Simon and the case officer. Finally, today, her Partnership based Work Visa was granted for 2 years, and we will work together for her resident visa.
