Our client had dreamed of having a beautiful life in New Zealand with his wife. He had planned out the steps in their life meticulously: applying for his 2021 resident visa, a visitor visa and eventually a work visa for her wife so that the two of them could move together to NZ.
After their wedding in November 2019, our client returned to NZ, leaving his wife in India while she waited for her Visitor Visa to NZ. However, her visitor visa got approved when the borders started closing down due to the pandemic. It became apparent that his wife’s visitor visa would expire without having the chance to use it and go to NZ. The couple became utterly depressed and sad as they could not spend time together after their wedding. Having no other options, all the couple could do was wait for the situation to get better.
Unfortunately, circumstances didn't allow people to travel, and his wife was unable to join him due to restrictions because of Covid-19. Faced with an uncertain future, the couple contacted our firm in desperation, seeking assistance and guidance on how to reunite with each other.
Simon was determined to make sure his client could reunite with his wife as soon as possible. Knowing how long they had been waiting, he worked efficiently and diligently on the case. Every detail was carefully considered, to ensure the partnership-based visitor visa application would be approved. After collecting all the necessary documents and preparing the application, Simon was sure they provided all of the evidence needed. He felt certain that it was now only a matter of time before his client's wish to be together with his wife was fulfilled - and it eventually was.
His client was more than thrilled with the result. Not only can his wife finally come to NZ, they now have a better chance to apply for their Resident Visa. The couple can not wait to work with Simon for the rest of their immigration journey to NZ.
Note: The client and Simon never once met in person and conducted all communications through our advanced IT system. It was due to the restrictions on travelling and meetings because of Covid-19. However, when the restrictions got lifted, our firm decided to continue the no face to face meeting policy after we found out it was more practical and efficient.
