A New Zealand resident partner initially supported a client in applying for his Partnership based work visa. Unfortunately, the relationship ended, and his partner moved to Australia herself. Confused about what to do, the client stayed in NZ, and became unlawful for many years.
Time passed and he fell in love with another lady who is an NZ citizen. He then applied for Section 61 twice with different lawyers, which were both declined.
As soon as he engaged with us, he and Simon worked together for a few months to prepare the submission. The ministerial intervention application was submitted to the Associate Minister of Immigration and was successful.
Then we applied for section 61 request to ask for six months visa as per the instruction by the Associate Minister of immigration, which was also successful.
He will engage with our firm to secure his NZ residency for future visa applications.
