A Chinese client's previous partnership-based resident visa was declined due to the previous lawyer's failure to respond to the requests from the case officer. The communication with the lawyer was slow, and oftentimes, there was no contact at all. This happens with a lot of applicants. Some are lucky to have realized that their advisor will not be able to help them and have enough time to switch to another adviser, while some have realized it too late – like this client.
She was very unhappy with the outcome, but rather than complaining about it, she did Google search to find our firm.
After the consultation, she immediately engaged with Simon, our CEO, for her case. Simon studied her application and submitted responses to the concerns raised by her previous case officer.
After responding to the said concerns, the client’s resident visa was approved without any question. She was delighted with the outcome and recently returned to our firm for her permanent resident visa.
Note: The client and Simon never once met in person and did all communications through our advanced IT system. It was due to the restrictions on travelling and meetings because of Covid-19. However, when the restrictions got lifted, our firm decided to adapt the no face to face meeting policy with all our transactions, after we found out it was more practical and efficient.
